FLAKE FLOOR PROCESS
Below is the process that our experienced team takes to ensure the coating being installed is not only beautiful but lasting for decades! We guarantee all of our install process to be done to the specs of all our products requirements.
STEP 1
The floor is first prepared by grinding the surface smooth to insure the floor coating adheres to the concrete. We have industry's leading grinding equipment for efficient and quality results. Our floor grinders have diamond wheels with the latest technology vacuum systems. This allows a dustless and clean surface after grinding.
STEP 2
The concrete is looked over to find any cracks or damaged areas on floor that need repaired. Those areas are then assessed professionally to make sure the proper repairs are made. Cracks may need to be ground with diamond wheel. For the repairs a two-part epoxy compound is applied. After the repair has cured, some may need scraped or ground smooth again.
STEP 3
We now apply a basecoat or also called the primer. This is a Vapor & Water Barrier compound that acts as a protective layer for bonding the surface. Having this layer of protection keeps the coating when under pressure from peeling or lifting.
STEP 4
The flake broadcast begins as soon as the basecoat has been installed in the prior step.
The flake is made up of vinyl , consisting of a unique color and texture combinations.
The customer is able to choose from our many color charts. Our team broadcasts flake consistently across the floor to give a full coverage.
STEP 5
The flake has been installed and has had the proper time to cure in the polyaspartic basecoat. Our team now takes a scraper to lightly knock down any loose flakes from the top and give the desired texture for the floor. The floor is now vacuumed to make sure all loose flakes have been cleaned up.
STEP 6
The final step is protecting your new floor with a protective polyaspartic clear coat. This clear coat is spread evenly by our team throughout the whole floor. This coating will protect against the normal day to day spills, scuffs and scratching. Once this coating is fully cured you'll be ready to enjoy your beautiful floor for decades to come.
